Software Engineering Team Leader

 Have an intensive experience in software engineering and in leading development teams? This role is for you! 

 

What you will be doing:

  • Design & implement scalable solutions for high-performance trading & research systems

  • Lead a small group of talented backend engineers

  • Drive the implementation of distributed and highly parallelized Big Data processing pipelines which process massive amounts of data in both batch and near real-time

  • Manage the company’s production trading infrastructure.

  • Be a key contributor to the team’s code base.

  • Work closely with our data scientists & researchers to develop ML models & pipelines.

  • Promote new technologies and develop POCs to improve the company’s offering.

 

What we need you to have:

  • B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 6+ years of experience in software development

  • At least 3 years of leading high-performance software development teams

  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing highly scalable distributed systems

  • Programming experience with multithreaded environments in Python/C/C++/Java

  • Familiarity with Python’s scientific stack is an advantage (Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, sklearn)

  • Distributed computing frameworks experience (Spark/Dask/HPCs/etc.)

  • Workflow management frameworks experience (Airflow/Celery/Luigi/etc.)

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing robust ETL/data processing pipelines

  • Experience with large scale No/SQL storage solutions (MongoDB/Druid/BigQuery/etc.)

  • Extensive knowledge in Unix/Linux

  • DevOps Knowledge is an advantage

  • Passion for building high-performance, large scale applications and data pipelines

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide constant dialog between teams

Algorithms Researcher

Love solving complex research problems and analyze their impact on business decisions? Jether Energy is looking for you.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Take end-to-end ownership of research problems from idea to production

  • Build mathematical models of physical world phenomena and analyze their impact on business decisions

  • Solve complex data science problems by developing novel algorithms

  • Use and develop state of the art machine learning models and algorithms

  • Work on compute intense projects which involve large scale distributed pipelines

  • Work in a dynamic and diverse environment involving multiple disciplines and domains

  • Engage directly with data scientists and engineers’ teams to co-develop solutions for a variety of tasks and projects using different tools and techniques

What we need you to have:

  • MSc or a PhD in EE/CS/math/Physics/Stats

  • Solid data science research experience of at least 3 years in a data-intensive field (machine learning, NLP, computer vision, signal processing or related)- an advantage

  • Deep understanding of at least one of the following domains: machine learning, statistics, information theory, probability, optimization, or signal processing

Data Analyst

Jether Energy Research, an AI startup focusing on solving highly challenging problems at the intersection of energy markets, data science and economics is looking for a data Analyst.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Work hands-on on challenging, complex and diverse datasets, develop reports and metrics, and extract insights from our data that will allow our teams to make better and more informed decisions

  • Take ownership of data sets and make them more accessible and informative

  • Increase business decisions by building and designing monitoring systems, reports, and dashboards

  • Evaluate problems, and inaccuracies, developing and maintaining protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data

  • Ownership of data models, data mapping, classifications and various data re-structuring activities

  • Work closely with the data science team

  • Come up with new and creative research ideas and insights

 

What we need you to have:

This position will focus primarily on investigating, generating and managing complex data projects of various types and sources.   • Develop methodologies and algorithms driven by weather parameters that will be an integral part of our AI algorithms

  • Provide statistical analysis of weather forecasts from diverse resources

  • Conduct validation procedures that ensures the skill and determines the uncertainty of the forecast

 

What we need you to have:

  • M.Sc./PhD in Meteorology/Atmospheric science or a related field

  • Familiarity with Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) systems

  • Strong background in statistical data analysis

  • Experience developing or working with regional numerical weather prediction models Proficient in programming languages for data analysis such as Python- an advantage
